FAQ

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, we offer international shipping via USPS. Our website calculates and collects shipping costs only. You are responsible for paying any duties, customs, or taxes that may apply. Please check with your local customs office for details. We are not responsible for any lost international packages and are unable to track your package once it leaves the United States. We are working to reduce shipping costs for our international customers as we expand our international distribution channels. Please check back on our "Where to Buy" and Facebook pages for updates.

How do the wall plates attach to the wall?

The wall plates come with a plastic mounting bracket and screws. You screw each corner of the mounting bracket into the wall and the metal plate snaps on over it. The plate has little hooks at the top and a tab at the bottom so it snaps snug over the bracket.

Can I paint my Urbio products?

You can spray paint the metal wall plate. However, the urbio vessels were not designed to be painted. If you decide to paint your wall plates, Urbio does not guarantee the resulting outcome or paint finish.

My Urbio vessel is having trouble sticking to the wall plate, am I doing something wrong?

Each Urbio vessel has a maximum weightload, ranging from 1.25 pounds to 14 pounds. Please refer to this page for specific information on each Urbio vessel. In general, we suggest that you not pack in the soil and use lightweight plants. Also, position your Urbio vessels where they are not likely to be bumped or knocked off the wall plate.

I've noticed in your Kickstarter video that the pots connect to one another. How do they connect?

The Urbio vessels in our Kickstarter video are connected with a wall puck.

What are wall pucks?

The wall puck was created to allow for independent pot placement. However, we have since discontinued production of the wall pucks and recommend using our metal wall plates instead. The wall puck does not have the same magnetic force due to the plastic ring that the steel insert sits in. Also, you do not need to use a wall puck to hang pots on the wall plates. The pots connect directly to the wall plates or other ferrous metal surfaces.

Do the Urbio pots come with plants, soil, and pumice?

We do not sell the pots with planting materials. We are working on creating a gardening add on kit that will help in the growing process. We hope to have something ready for summer 2013.

Where can I buy pumice?

You can buy a bag of granular pumice or Perlite at Home Depot or Lowe's.
